Athena is a beautiful larger dog with tan fur and black markings. She is already in the UK in a UK foster home, where she is gaining confidence daily and transport can be arranged to her forever home if needed.
Her foster family describes her as a quick learner, and loves people including her vet! She is starting to greet her foster family when they arrive back home and starting to show her true personality.
Athena is very dog friendly, although she needs slow introductions whilst she becomes familiar with her new families resident dogs body language.
She can initially be nervous on pavement walks. However, she is becoming better with this and is happy once she gets into the fields.
Athena is also crate trained, toilet trained and is happy with car journeys but needs to be lifted into the car as she gets nervous with jumping in herself.
She is fed separately to other dogs, and her new family will need to continue with this due to some food reactivity towards other dogs, but not humans.
With continued training and support, Athena will make a wonderful, loyal family dog.
