Basil’s Forever Sofa is run entirely by volunteers. Our trustees lead the charity, but a wider team of dedicated volunteers makes everything happen, from home checks and applications to social media, fundraising, finance, fostering, and aftercare.

Behind every adoption, home check, and Instagram post is one of our brilliant volunteers. They give their time freely across every area of what we do.
Our Romanian Partners
We work hand-in-hand with a small, trusted network of rescuers in Romania who care for our dogs before they make their journey to the UK. Once they’re ready to travel, our dogs are moved by reputable, fully insured transport companies that meet all UK and EU regulations. We choose our partners carefully, and every link in the chain shares our commitment to ethical, welfare-first rescue.
